Very nice, complete camping dining set. Good quality. Will make your outdoor dining experience by the camp fire a lot classier than just using paper plates. The flatware comes in a nice nylon wraparound holder with compartments for each piece. It would be nice if Coleman also offered some kind of backpack or duffle bag designed to hold the dishes and mugs, that would make a really nice kit or gift set. We have used these dishes on several camping trips. They are great, very sturdy, and are way better than paper plates. You just have to be careful when putting hot food on them, the dishes themselves get hot as well. I wish there was a carrying case for the dishes like the flatware. I bought a small tote with a lid to store them in when not in use, but also use for a wash basin when camping. It works out well. Well worth the price for what you get. We recently bought this set and it worked out very well! The silverware set got good use, is very convenient and takes up little space. The dinnerware is durable and easy to clean. Great price on the flatware set. It served our family well. The spoons are huge, which is good for adults, but if you have small children I recommend bringing there own spoons. My 4 yr. old and 2 yr. old had trouble fitting these in there mouths. All in all this is a great purchase and will serve us for many years to come. Thanks!! This is CAMPING flatware...great for CAMPING and picnics. I shook the pouch and nothing fell out. However, the set comes in a thick plastic envelope with snaps. Keep the pouch in there for transport to avoid losing any pieces. The gaps that another critic complained about were absent from my sets (bought 2). The pieces are lightweight, so you can bring them backpacking, too. Mine are going into the picnic basket. This a great and well packaged set. The lightness of the utensils may make some think of them as cheap, but if I'm backpacking, I'm happy about that feature! They were the perfect set for our camping trip and were plenty durable for four guys using them for steaks! I purchased this set on clearance from Sears and was pretty excited since we have another knife set by Chicago cutlery that has been very good to us. I'm not so pleased with these. they are great looking and the blades are super sharp, but from the first wash I had knives rusting in spots that I cannot figure out how to remove. They were washed by hand and allowed to air dry, so I'm not sure if this is the cause, but I'd say 4 knives out of the set have had this problem. I wasn't aware stainless steel was supposed to rust. I got these steak knives because they very closely match my existing Chicago Cutlery knife set. The only difference is these knives have solid handles, slightly 'flattened'. My other knives are hollow stainless handles and are more ballooned out. The quality and weight of the knives are great for the price. They work wonders on any steak, and are my only serrated knives (besides a bread knife), so they work great for anything I might need serrations for.

My only complaint is the included box isn't very helpful. Its plastic liner molded to fit the knives isn't very practical to store them. I keep them on a magnetic knife strip. The only benefit I can think of for the box is easy gift giving, otherwise don't concider it in the value of the set because you will most likely throw it away. If you are looking for a set of knives that looks contemporary and good in your kitchen (perhaps to match your stainless steel appliances) and are not intend to use them, these knives are for you. But if you want knives to be functional, look elsewhere.

This is my second set. The first set was a wedding gift and after 2 months of normal usage, it became very dull and the part where the handle and blade connect, started to rust. So we exchange them for a second set, same thing happened. Water just gets in the handles. I've found that out after I washed them for the first time and later found a puddle of water around the block. So, I wipe them dry after each wash and still, rust started to appear. These knives are very easy to bent out of shape; couple of the steak knives' serrated edges went different ways after a few dinners. The tip of the long slicer broke off.

I do not know what knives the negative person had but it wasn't these. I have used these for over 3 years and they are wonderful and in the same condition as new! I highly recommend them!! I put them in the dish washer and that hasn't seemed to dull them at all. I would buy them again!! Help other customers find the most helpful reviews

These are absolutely beautiful dishes and I love them. The patterns are so delicate, yet the plates are very durable. I really liked the variety of patterns on each piece. Even the back of the dishes have butterflies. I was happy to see them at such a discount here. I noticed they are also discounted the same at Bed, Bath and Beyond and a few other places, but are much cheaper than buying them direct from Lenox, even on sale. This set would make a lovely gift for anyone of any age, not just for an elderly person as suggested in the previous review. :) I highly recommend them. I love this whimsical pattern--the reason I gave this item five stars.

I bought this set for my mother-in-law. She will not use the mugs--they sit in her china hutch. She does not like the scalloped edge around the top of the mug--she says the scallops make drinking from them more *difficult* and less *comfortable*. She also does not like the narrow bottom on the mug. She feels they are top heavy and more prone to tipping/spilling.

Before buying the whole set, purchasing one mug seperately for a home trial may be warranted if there is any chance that the scalloped drinking edge or narrow base on the mug may pose a problem for you. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews

Because of the discounts plural offered by Amazon, this is a good purchase. It's fun and the everyday flowers keep this from being too precious. The bugs are fantastic especially the fat bees. These dishes and cups feel very comfortable in the hand as does the matching rice bowl so I recommend this. Also, I think this would be a cheery gift to give to elderly women especially ones who don't like flowery twee patterns because new dishes are something that you tend not to get when you reach a certain age.

This is a much much better choice than plain white dishes which I would never do or a discounted snowflake set by Corelle. There is a non-Lenox brand (Homevisions)that is also offering a butterfly and flower pattern that is dippy looking.

Every piece is made in Indonesia. I read somewhere that the Corelle sets were mismatched because all but the cups were made together and the cups didn't match. I liked the idea of indestructible everyday dinnerware to match my indestructible restaurant pieces but reading deeper, I found that Corelle didn't promise such hardiness. This delicate looking Lenox set is lightweight and gentle on the lips but chip-proof enough for my purpose.

Is this frugal? no but I am happy I bought them and I use them everyday
Would I have purchased this used at a cheaper price off of craigslist? no
