After looking for a timeless flatware design for some time, I purchased one place setting of this collection to evaluate. The quality of the polishing is high, and after repeated washings over many months the setting shows no signs of wear. My only objection to this collection is the large size of the settings. To me, everything was one size too large. The teaspoon seemed like a tablespoon, and the smaller fork was 7 inches long, the larger 8. The knife is 9 inches long and very slender. This set is very nicely polished and looks good anywhere. While not as fancy looking as other sets, this set looks like it could withstand a good amount of use, especially when compared to thinner sets of the same quality and price. I used one of the spoons to scoop out frozen ice cream with no sign of stress, I would not even attempt to do that with a set from the reed & barten line. This set is heavy and larger the usual, so I would not suggest kids/people with small hands use these. If you have big hands, this would be the perfect set for you.

The Good:

Highly polished
Super strong and thick
Good price when compared to others of same quality


The Bad:

Bigger than usual, not for those with small/little hands

My daughter didn't get all her flatware when she got married, so I have been trying to help her complete her set. The store where it was originally purchased, no longer carried this item.
